Continue uphill for approximately 500 feet until you reach the first major traffic signal at the intersection of S 160th St and International Blvd Pacific Hwy S. This intersection can be heavily congested during peak travel hours, so exercise caution when proceeding. From this signal, freeway access is clearly marked with overhead signage. To access I-5 South towards Portland, use the left-turn lane at this signal and follow the dedicated on-ramp. To access I-5 North towards downtown Seattle or I-405 North towards Bellevue, use the right-turn lane. The I-405 on-ramp is located roughly 1. 5 miles north along International Blvd. Make sure you are in the correct lane well before the intersection, as the left-turn lanes can back up during rush hour, and the right turn requires yielding to cross traffic.
